Los Gusanos crataegus oxycantha sound like the key of a Latin radical, simply it's really the New York-based quartet that C.J. Ward of Ramones fame founded when he was inactive with the pioneering Queens hood outfit in 1992. Ward had linked The Ramones in 1989, when he replaced creation member and bassist Dee Dee Ramone. Ward started Los Gusanos as a english project iII age later, and at first, he had no idea that his band would develop into his chief gig. Not very Ramones-sounding, Los Gusanos isn't actually a punk band just does have a punk-influenced vim and attitude. While Ward was strictly a bassist in The Ramones, Los Gusanos has set up him singing trail and playing rhythm guitar.

When The Ramones officially called it quits later on existence together for about 20 geezerhood, Los Gusanos became a full-time spare-time activity for Ward. With Ward united by "Sordid" Ed Lynch on lead guitar, "Big" John Chadwick on basso and Bo "Left-hander" Matheson on drums, the band place verboten a few singles (including a cover of Ten Years After's "I'd Love To Change The World") before transcription its self-titled debut album in 1997. Los Gusanos came out in Europe that year, and was released in the U.S. by Mayhem in 1998.
